Letting It All Go

I have no idea what I'm hoping to accomplish.

Later today, I'll be getting together with an ex of mine I haven't spoken to in two years in order to try and get past the anger that was caused by the events that led to our breakup. I won't go into detail, but a lot of things were said on both sides, and things occurred that I honestly thought I could never forgive. In all honesty, I still can't. But it's the end of the year, and on top of all the stress I already have going on in my life, I need to relieve the pressure, so it's time to see if I can at least get past it all. I'm not an angry person, but over the holidays I turn into a bit of a Scrooge because of all the end-of-the-year stress bearing down on my shoulders.

Anyway, I'm doing a few holiday commissions for some friends, so I thought I'd show some of them to you as they come along. This first one is of a friend and co-worker of mine, LaKaito Barr-Miller, whom, after seeing this (too be fair, he was very drunk that night), thanked me about twelve times throughout the night.

It's a little bit light, I know- it didn't seem that way when I first sketched it. I did this with my Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet and Photoshop CS5.
